Alexandre Henri, ° 22.11.1843. Engineer. Director of the chemical laboratory at the “Société de la Vieille-Montagne” in Angleur. Member of the ABP from 3.3.1888. President of the Liège section of the ABP from 1892 to 1894. Lectures with experiment on the daguerreotype, on the pinhole camera, on Zeiss lenses, presentation of Lippmann’s colour process in 1893, introduction to the cinematograph in November 1895, talk on the application of acetylene to photomicrography and enlargements in 1896, etc. In 1894 he displayed two hand stereoscopic cameras, made by Van Neck, of which he may have been the inventor. Translator (jointly with V. Hassreidter) of the study by A. Miethe, "Optique photographique sans développements mathématiques", Paris, Gauthier-Villars, 1896.
