Léopold Henri François, ° 10.3.1834; + 15.1.1906. Sculptor. Patent of 15.3.1882 for "a composition suitable for the production of gelatino bromide plates destined for photography". Announced in July 1882 that he had just founded an establishment for the production of gelatino-silver bromide plates (La Meuse, 17.7.1882). Manufacturer of "L'éclair" gelatino-silver bromide plates, according to "La Photographie en Wallonie". There may have been a link with Louis Cézard, who was also a manufacturer of plates, Rue Saint-Léonard.

Advertised that he had installed a depot for his plates at this address in January 1884. In 1885 he founded "Noppius et Cie" in partnership with Léon Roland (see that name) for "the production of gelatino-silver bromide plates for photography and other products connected to this industry".
