Studio reported opening in June 1858 (L'Indépendance Belge, 29.6.1858). Patent of 22.7.1858 for "a method for producing and framing photographic images"; represented by P. Bals. Patent of invention of 31.8.1860 for "an application of photography to industrial and commercial advertising". Patent of 15.9.1860 for "a process for obtaining portraits, caricatures portraits and caricatures by means of photography". A certain Francis Northcote had a studio in London, 529, Kingsland Road, Shoreditch in 1871-1872. However, if the lifedates given in the database of London photographers (1853 - 1932) are correct, this cannot be the same person.
