He established himself at this address with one of his sisters. Member of the "Photo-Club de Verviers". Ortmans went on to enjoy a long career as a photographer, and later, by 1908, as a wholesaler of photographic equipment. On CV dated 1903, "Speciality: enlargements in platinum and carbon". By 1908 he also stocked gramophones and dictation machines. Operated throughout the interwar period, dropping the portrait studio in favour of wholesale supplies. Still a member of the ABP in 1922 and advertising at no. 26 in 1922 and 1931.
