Frederick George Packer (° Deptford [London, GB], c. 1832) and William Gremwood [sic] (° Deptford [London, GB], c. 1833) in the population registry. Packer arrived from London [GB] on 7.7.1858 and was recorded as a photographer aged 26 living at Canal au Beurre, 1. "Photographers from London and New York" (advertisement appeared on 16.7.1858). A certain Thomas Packer (1822 - 1864) was active as a daguerreotypist in London in 1852-1853, and a William Grimwood [sic], daguerreotypist, was active in New York City [USA] in 1857-1858.
