Jacques Etienne Pannier (° Paris [F], 17.11.1802; + Paris [F], 14.11.1869) and his wife Marie-Louise Demaige. Trading as "Photographie Catholique", they were based in Paris, Rue Saint-Victor, 13 where they produced "devotional photographs after the Great Masters, special price for prayer books" [Bottin, 1862], This was the address of the "Office de Publicité", where their photographs were displayed: "copies of great master paintings to illustrate Christian art". These photographs were sold at 1 fr. a piece.
