Member of the "Cercle Photographique d’Ixelles". Most likely Jean Baptiste Marie Parys (Brussels, 27.3.1877), who was recorded as a postman living at the address given in the 1906 membership list. Note that a certain J.-B. Parys from Brussels participated in a photography competition organised by the French magazine "Photo Pêle-Mêle" in 1903. The other two candidates are his father "Charles" Julien Parys (° Brussels, 24.8.1850), recorded as a concierge in directories or as a saddler in the population register, or his brother Pierre Clément Léon (° Brussels - Etterbeek, 30.8.1884), recorded in the population register as an errand boy, then a labouring printer. No longer a member in 1908.
