° 7.12.1871; + 8.10.1940. Collotype, halftone printing, postcards. Branch of the firm owned by his elder brother Edouard Joseph Nels (see that name), headquartered in Brussels. According to family lore, Paul Nels had originally been a co-owner of the firm but was forced to stand aside in a bout of internecine strife. Branch inaugurated on 20.8.1902. Over a period of four years, Nels produced over 2 000 subjects for picture postcards published by the firm. Member of the "Photo-Club de Belgique" from 2.10.1901. Corresponding member of the "Cercle Photographique d'Ixelles", 1903 (Metz, Rue des Parmentiers, 15).

Following closure of this branch, Nels moved to Paris where he ran a hotel.
