° 8.6.1874. Owner of a decorating business and general store, the "Bazar Marchois". Recorded life and landscape in the Famenne region and, in particular, life under German occupation during World War I. A collection of 2 964 glass plate negatives was discovered fortuitously on the site of the "Bazar Marchois" in 2000. Fully digitised, the collection is housed in the "Famenne & Art Museum". An exhibition of 75 modern prints from original negatives was held at the Museum in 2014-2015.
