Alfred Louis Joseph, ° 24.4.1842. Mining engineer; graduated from the University of Liège in 1864. Departmental head at "Société John Cockerill" where he perfected local casting by the Bessmer process. Member of the ABP from 9.3.1875 ("Philipart"). Not a member of the ABP, 1884-1891.
1892 - 1905 Isbergues [Pas-de-Calais, F]
Director of steelworks. Won third prize ("Alfred Philippart of Liège") in a photography competition organised by "Liège-Attractions" in July 1904. Both his daughter Sophie and her future husband Fernand François were members of the ABP during this period - see relevant entries.
1906 - 1914 > Liège
Still a member of the ABP in 1922.
