The club was composed of students and alumni of the "Institut Sainte-Marie". Annual salons were held on the school’s premises. A brief report on the club’s second annual salon gives a good flavour of what a local, well curated exhibition of the period would have looked like: “The photos, tastefully framed, stand out artistically against huge moss-green backcloths. There are a hundred or so offering an alluring procession of Belgian beauty spots, picturesque Switzerland and its glaciers, attractions of the Eiffel, breathtaking sites of the Grand Duchy, etc. There are also contre-jours, snow and cloud effects and portraits that highlight the talent of several participants. Exhibitors belong either to the photography section of the alumni association or to the students’ photography club. The “autochrome” section deserves special mention, featuring fruit, flowers and landscapes in their natural colours” (Le Courrier de Bruxelles, 22.4.1914).
