Antoine Joseph, ° 27.12.1866. Son of Jos. Putte (see that name). Recorded as a sculptor at the occasion of his wedding in Antwerp on 7.2.1891. Describing himself as a "draughtsman-photographer", Putte announced: "I hereby inform my old customers that, having abandoned the trade in wood and carpentry, I am able to supply portraits drawn from life or after a simple photograph (60 x 60 cm) for 20 frs" (L'Avenir du Luxembourg, 18.10.1903).

Photographic supplies. Listed as a photographer in 1914. Also advertised himself as a "draughtsman-portraitist" (Fotographisch Tijdschrift, 1920). Still active at this address until 1934. The business was taken over by his son-in-law Armand Van Nimmen who had been involved since soon after marrying Putte's daughter in 1922; "Comptoir photographique Van Nimmen - Putte, A., portraitiste" from 1925.
