François Joseph, ° 13.9.1822; + 28.8.1898. Husband of Anna Theresia Van Acker (° Bruges, 25.5.1819) and father of Sidonie Boddez - Rau (see that name). Shopkeeper and tobacconist. In July 1866, he announced that he had added photographs of all kinds to his business (Journal de Bruges, 4.7.1866). He sold photographs, including work by Daveluy, Ghémar Frères and Adolphe Braun, sticking a label bearing his own name over the photographer’s name. He also sold views from the series "La Belgique Pittoresque" by Q.V. (see Quéval).
