Under the headline "popular photography", Gauthier - Rincy announced that he was "unable to satisfy the numerous demands made on him for 25 centime portraits" (Le Courrier de l'Escaut, 1.2.1865). Stereo views of a train, maker's name transcribed as "Gauthier, Remy". There may be a connection to Gauthier, known as A. Remy, active in Liège in 1868, and to Amédée Gauthier, who operated in Namur from 1874 (see those names).
