Georges Eugène, ° 13.7.1855. Operator in an unspecified Brussels studio. Younger son of Louis Noël Richou (° Paris, 25.12.1816; + Etampes [Essonne, F], 28.6.1895), a leading photographer in Orléans from the mid-1850s until the mid-1870s and who then went on to operate in Etampes [Essonne, F] from the late 1870s. Awarded a prize for his modelling at the "Ecole Municipale de Dessin" in 1873. Georges was a witness at the wedding in Etampes in 1876 of his brother and fellow photographer Henri Louis (1850 - 1929), when he was recorded as a photographer aged 22 living in Paris, Rue Grenier Saint-Lazare. Member of the ABP from 15.12.1878. According to the ABP membership lists, Georges was living in Paris in 1880 and in Etampes in 1881, where he was probably active in the family studio. His elder brother operated in association with their father and then succeeded him as studio head in the 1880s, remaining active until the early 1900s.
