Initially operator for Charles Janssen before succeeding him on his departure in February 1902. Series of 24 postcards documenting the cultivation and processing of flax to make linen, published by Beyaert - Filleul, c. 1912. Seems to have left Courtrai at the outbreak of World War I and subsequently operated in Dordrecht [NL]. Definively left Courtrai with his family as an enemy alien to return to Germany in 1918; removed from the population register on 8.11.1919.
