At his wedding in Tournai on 19.6.1871, a certain Louis "Eugène" Rosset (° Avenches [CH], 18.10.1843) was recorded as a tradesman. We have been unable to identify Rivoire. Advertisements for the partnership began in September 1874 and for Louis Rosset alone from March 1875 onwards. There are CVs by Rosset alone at this address bearing the statement "Photography and painting". CV portraits of participants in the "cortège historique", 1874 and 1875. A certain L. Rosset, most probably the same photographer, had operated in Chambéry [Isère, F], Rue de la Gare, 11 from October 1871 to July 1873, some of the time in partnership with Perrot. After leaving Tournai, Rosset operated in Ath (see relevant entry).
