Jean Diomède, ° 27.12.1833; + 2.11.1917. Industrial engineer. Graduated from the University of Ghent in 1857. Appointed assistant in chemistry at the University of Ghent in 1859 and professor of civil engineering in 1888, retiring in 1898. Founder member of the ABP ("Diomène"). Secretary of the Ghent section in 1874.
