Honoré Constantinus Nicodemus, ° 9.3.1869; + 26.2.1957. Pharmacist. Graduated as a pharmacist from the University of Ghent in 1894. Probably started with photography as an amateur. Secretary of the "Société yproise de photographie" in 1896. Atmospheric coastal scenes. Recorded the aftermath of a storm in August 1912, published in the form of postcards. Promoted tourism and published a guide book to the region.
1906 * - 1914 Furnes, Grand'Place 15
Opened a pharmacy "Den Hert / Le Cerf" where, amongst supplementary activities, he provided a portrait studio for visiting amateurs and published picture postcards from his own negatives. During World War I, he operated under the trade name of "Photo de l'Yser" or "Yser Photo Ruyssen Furnes". In the interwar years, he painted and drew views of Furnes and La Panne.
