Paul Joseph Nicolas Nestor, ° 13.3.1826; + 12.11.1896. Painter who had studied in Antwerp, Düsseldorf [D], Barbizon [F], and in Switzerland. Exhibited a landscape "Souvenir de l'Oberland Bernois, effet de brouillard" at the "Exposition générale des beaux-arts" in Brussels in 1851. According to advertisements, he acquired the photography studio at this address with the support of Renoz' widow, who continued the business after Schaffers moved to Rue du Pont Madou.

Recorded as a lithographer aged 40 resident in Ghent, Walpoortbrugstraat in June 1866. A friend of Désiré Van Monckhoven, he was one of the first to use carbon paper commercialised by Van Monckhoven. Founder member of the ABP.

Submitted a building permit for this address in 1873 so may well have moved here in 1874. He remained at this address until his death.
