Joseph Jean Hubert, ° 12.2.1879. Erroneously advertising as "Choenmackers" when the opening of this studio was announced in November 1902 (Le Soir, 13.11.1902). Jos Schoenmaekers & Co. had previously operated in Maastricht [NL], Stationsstraat, 46 where the firm was advertising from November 1901 to August 1902 (Limburger Koerier, 23.11.1901 & 16.8.1902).

Arrived in Brussels - Saint-Gilles from Brussels - Schaerbeek on 17.2.1903. Recorded as a photographer resident at this address at the occasion of his wedding in Brussels - Saint-Gilles on 22.4.1903.

On the back of a CV: “specialty of crayon portraits; miniatures on enamel; reproductions; enlargements”. Recorded as a photographer domiciled in Paris, Rue Damrémont, 75 at the birth of a daughter in July 1906. By June 1908, Jos Schoenmaekers & Co. were once again advertising in Maastricht [NL], Stationsstraat, 56 (Limburger Koerier, 27.6.1908). Subsequently Schoenmaekers was recorded as a photographer domiciled in Montrouge [Hauts-de-Seine, F], Avenue de la République, 35 in May 1913 on the death certificate of a son.
