° 28.9.1884; + 17.5.1981. A precocious amateur, he took his first photographs at the age of 15. Civil mining engineer, graduated from the "Université Libre de Bruxelles" in 1907. Director of the "Société électrique d'Odessa" from 1909 until 1915, and of a similar firm in Baku from 1916 to 1919. He constructed a "Tropical" camera in 1908 and photographed the oil well fires in Baku in 1916.
