In May 1896, (Baron) Alfred de Posch was the president and Honoré Ruyssen the secretary. Founding members: Véron De Deyne, Florimond Bartier. Exhibition by 14 members shown alongside a fine arts exhibition organised by the artistic circle "Strijd naar Lauweren" in August 1897 (Journal d'Ypres, 11.8.1897 and 1.9.1897). By November 1899 Eugène Vandermeersch had become president and Edmond Liégeois was the secretary (Journal d'Ypres, 15.11.1899).
