Henri Adolphe, ° 17.10.1838; + 4.10.1915. "Resting" Catholic priest. Founding member of the "Cercle photographique de Bruges" and treasurer in 1893; deputy secretary and treasurer, 1903-1908. Souriau was a village priest in the diocese of Chartres [F] when he was found guilty of immoral acts "against young girls under the age of thirteen years" on 12.3.1879. Sentenced to 15 years hard labour, Souriau fled before the punishment could be carried out.
