Possibly Gerard Gerlache Spée (° Beesel [NL], 19.11.1810; + Rolduc [NL], 16.12.1874), husband of Marie Julie Philippine Zelis, recorded in Liège in June 1863. Spée - Zelis founded a printing and publishing house in Liège and traded from Rue Vinâve-d'Ile, 25 in the 1870s. Member of the ABP from 10.9.1874 ("Spee-Zelis"), listed at Rue Vinâve-d'Ile. Alternatively or thereafter, his son Théodore (° Liège, 2.4.1841; + Liège, 22.3.1886), who followed in his father's footsteps as a bookseller and became managing director of the news weekly "L'Illustration Européenne" in Brussels.
