Photographic paper. During the sole directorship of Jules Steinbach - Charlier (1841 - 1904) from 1873, the paper manufacturer specialised in photographic paper, in competition with Blanchet Frères et Kléber in Rives [Isère, F]. Between 1875 and 1895, the firm also focused on producing paper for copying plans or "blue prints". In 1889, Steinbach marketed an albumen paper under the "Enamel" trade mark. By the turn of the century, the firm had a workforce of 650 and could boast that it was the "largest producer of photographic paper in the world".
