° 5.11.1868; + 24.1.1946. Son of Adolphe. Supplies for photographers. Author of a technical article on the "development of autochromes in diluted bath" (Bulletin de l'ABP, December 1913, pp. 423-426, reprinted from Photo-Revue). Member of the "Photo-Club liégeois", from at least 1913. Autochromes of landscapes (1913). He exhibited autochromes at the ABP's 26th annual slide show in Liège in April 1914. Still listed as a member of the ABP and the "Photo-Club liégeois" in 1922, Straus remained an active amateur art photographer in the interwar period. The firm continued trading until 1960.
