Also known as Jacob, ° 17.3.1880. Director-General for Belgium of the Berlitz School of Languages. A Berlitz teacher since 1898 and living in Begium since 10.11.1902. "Strumpen - Darrie" after his wedding in April 1911. Strumpen founded many branches in the USA and elsewhere. He became majority shareholder and assumed control of the whole company in 1932, maintaining his position until succeeded by his son in 1953.
