Emile Henri, ° 8.1.1868. Notary in Brussels - Saint-Gilles, 1901-1929. The Royal Institute of Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) in Brussels owns 200 boxes of his glass negatives. The extensive collection of photographs taken by t’Serstevens "provides an inadvertent glimpse of everyday life at the turn of the century for the most fortunate members of Belgian society. He shows luxurious interiors, champagne tastings, fashion, excursions to the coast and travels abroad". A favourite model of his was his wife Marie t'Serstevens - Dastot (° Brussels - Saint-Josse, 1870; + Brussels - Watermael-Boitsfort, 1943), also an amateur photographer: the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) possesses 53 negatives attributed to her.
