Dominique François, ° 27.8.1831; + 24.3.1906. Brother of Hortense Tackels, Désiré Van Monckhoven's wife. After an apprenticeship with the latter, he became a manufacturer of photographic products, including "Sienna" paper and "Iris" plates. Gelatine-bromide plates; plates specially prepared for X-ray photography. Carbon prints. Not listed in the directories until 1896.
