° 2.5.1823; + 28.2.1905. Registered at this address as a portrait painter and a photographer about 1866, coming from Gembloux. In January-February 1856 he had already lived in Namur, Rue des Fossés Fleuris, and in the Hôtel du Grand Sanglier in late 1856. Here he produced lithographed portraits from photographs. "The likeness is guaranteed in 50 minutes sitting" (L'Ami de l'Ordre, 5.12.1856).

On 2.7.1872 "Mr Taquin, painter" [no mention of photography] announced the transfer of his residence to Rue du Collège, 9.

"Portraits of all sizes in oil paints. Restoration and cleaning of old paintings. Photography. Photopainting on canvas & on panels, after portraits on brooches, etc. Copying and enlargements" (letterhead, 1879). From 1889 until 1892 he was domiciled at Rue Godefroid, 35, and in 1895 at Rue Godefroid, 14.
