+ January 1919. Pioneering cinematographer. One of the first operators for the Lumière firm, Thévenon presented the "cinématographe" in Lille [F] between April and August 1896. Subsequently spent several years as a film exhibitor in the fairs of Northern France and Belgium, including Liège in October 1898. He also made short films himself, notably "End of Shift at the Cockerill Factory in Seraing" (1899). Thévenon was still exhibiting in Roubaix [Nord, F] in April 1906.

Thévenon became director of the Métropole cinema in Brussels by 1913. Founder member and vice-president of the "Association Belge Cinématographique" in 1911.
