Ferdinandus Franciscus, ° 30.1.1864; + 13.4.1923. Sometimes spelled "Thiery". Manufacturer of photographic plates and papers. Patent of 15.10.1900 [Rue des Femmes Saint-Pierre [sic], 63, in Ghent] for "a new method for wrapping photographic plates". Took over and ran Beernaert's Dry Plate Co. until the firm was dissolved on 23.7.1904. He then continued operations under his own name. Directory in 1907-1908 states "Thiry" at no. 45, most probably a transcription error.
