Jean François Maurice, ° 12.2.1894; + April 1924. Son of a pharmacist. Originally a Pictorialist specialising in oil printing. Awarded 5th prize in the Gevaert photography competition in 1910. Member of the "Photo-Club liégeois", he gave demonstrations of the oil process at the club in 1913. Autochromes of landscapes and woods (1913). Opened a business in photographic supplies with a photographic studio in 1914. He remained active as a professional photographer and dealer in photographic supplies at this address until at least 1920 and died here after a long and painful illness.
