Living in Brussels, Avenue de Cortenbergh, 88 with her mother Florence Rawoe (° Kersbeek, 29.3.1834) and her sister Augustine Désirée Van Bressem (° Brussels, 15.12.1872). All three women were recorded as photographers at that address. After marrying policeman Joseph François Messiaen (° Ghent - Ledeberg, 3.5.1885) on 16.4.1910, Mary left for Brussels - Ixelles. Her studio photographs feature only the name "Mary". Variously listed as "L. Vanbremon", "L. Vanbressem", "M. Van Bressel", "Vanbremen", "M. Messiaen" and "Madame Messiaen".
