Inaugural advertisements in December 1901, even though name not listed in directories until 1904. "Van de Cruys C." in the 1906 directory, or "Van de Cruys & Cie", "Studio V. Van de Cruys" or sometimes even "Vandecruysse". The statement "special studio for enlargements in Brussels" on the CVs enables us to establish a link with the other addresses. Alfred Carlier announced in 1913 that he had acquired the negatives taken by the Colbert - Van de Cruys studio. They were previously in the possession of Fernand Deweer (see that name). However Van de Cruys is still listed here in the Mertens & Rozez directory until 1914.

Speciality of coated bromides, oil painting, pastels and water colours" (1913). Vice-president of the "Union des Photographes Professionnels de Belgique", 1913. A certain A. Bogaerts also advertised for a negative retoucher from this address in November 1913. Van de Cruys continued to operate here during and after World War I.
