° 8.2.1865; + 24.7.1949. Employee in the Esders department store. Member of the "Cercle d’études photographiques et scientifiques d’Anvers" in 1907-1909. Member of "Fotografische Kring Iris". "The submission from Mr T. [sic] Van de Poel, comprising views of a vanished Borgerhout, caused much excitement" (Gazet van Antwerpen, 17.7.1911). Commissioner of the Antwerp section of the ABP in 1922. Remained active throughout the interwar period and was an honorary member of "Iris" until 1946.
