° 26.5.1884. Secretary-treasurer (1907-1908) then president (1909-1914) of the "Photographische Kring / Cercle de Photographie". On behalf of the club and together with Eugène Van Rossom, he organised a Henri Conscience competition to mark the centenary of the poet's birth, prints to be exhibited on 10-19.8.1912. Member of "Fotografische Kring Iris" in 1912-1914. Sometimes spelled "Van den Broek". Van den Broeck set up a travel agency in January 1913 in partnership with Lucien De Graef. Their "Agence Lux" organised an excursion of "Tourist Club Kosmos" to Villers-la-Ville in April 1914.
