° 21.2.1870; + 2.4.1936. Sometimes "Van Grinderbeeck" in the directories. At this address from 1880. Optician from 1890. Card mounts. Advertised in 1900, "Optical instruments [...] Cameras and chemicals for photograph; all brands of plates, papers and roll films". As a pictorialist, his work included landscapes and urban views. He recorded the floods in Louvain on 14.5.1906. His business premises were probably destroyed during the German invasion in 1914. On an advertising sign, hung on temporary premises occupied in 1918, "Jules Vangrinderbeek / Optics - Photography - Electricity / Installation of electric light".
