° 19.1.1869; + 20.12.1942. Printer. Publisher of the "Gazette van Gent". Printed a three-colour chromotypographic plate from life on 25.7.1902 and undertook commercial halftone printing amongst other reprographic processes: "Printing works E. Vander Haeghen, Rue des Champs, 60, letterpress and lithography; photogravure printing", 1903. As an amateur he took views of street life. A collection of around 800 glass negatives is preserved in the "Huis van Alijn - Museum voor Volkskunde" (Folklore Museum) in Ghent. Vander Haeghen's mansion at Rue des Champs, 82 is now a museum bearing his name.
