On postcard, 1911 ca, "no branches". Still operated here during World War I. Veuve A. Verbeeck at this address in 1920. This was Leonie Wilmers, mother of Armand and Arthur and widow of Aloysius Verbeeck, a shopkeeper who had died in 1892. She founded the firm of A. Verbeeck & C° on 1.1.1912 with seat in Antwerp. Her business partner was a photographer Jan Janssens - see entry for John Janssens.
