Armand Verbeeck (see that name) was registered at this address in the population registry, 1898-1904. He subsequently operated independently. Portrait postcards, 1904.

On postcard, 1911 ca, "no branches". This was Leonie Wymeers (° Willebroek, 10.5.1847), mother of Armand and Arthur and widow of Aloysius Verbeeck (° De Klinge, 4.5.1843; + Kieldrecht, 10.6.1892), a shopkeeper. She founded the firm of A. Verbeeck & C° on 1.1.1907 with seat in Antwerp. Initially her business partner was a photographer Jan Janssens (see entry for John Janssens), but their partnership was dissolved in December 1909 and she continued the firm by herself (Le Matin, 19.12.1909). Still operated here during World War I. Veuve A. Verbeeck still recorded at this address in 1920-1922.
