Arthur Antoine, ° 2.2.1874; + 2.7.1932. Husband of (Joh)Anna De Swerdt. A coloured lithographic poster advertising the studio at no. 62 was designed by Alfred Van Neste (1874 - 1969). Pictorialist; presumed member of the "Cercle d’art photographique l’Effort". "A painter of talent who sometimes lays down his palette to have the sun work in its stead" (Bulletin de la Société Caennaise de Photographie, 1905, p. 54). Still recorded at this address in the 1913 Monod directory. He moved to Harderwijk [NL] during World War I before settling in Great Britain.
