John Joseph, ° 10.9.1845; + 5.10.1896. Civil engineer, graduating from the University of Ghent in 1868. Married in Brussels on 17.12.1868 when he was recorded as resident in Eindhout, province of Antwerp. Founder member of the ABP. Photomicrographer. Member of the "Société belge de Microscopie". On the death of his adoptive mother in 1884, he acquired "de Ossenstal" castle in Eindhout and was henceforth known as Ward - Meulenbergh. Mayor of Eindhout from 1891 until his death.
