An association of Polydore (Paul) Wauters and Oscar Alexandre Joseph Hunin (° Montigny-sur-Sambre, 16.11.1874) after the partnership of Wauters & Masquelier had been disolved. The firm was founded on 1.1.1914 with the purpose of "trading in wholesale photographic supplies". Wauters was described as a businessman in Antwerp, Hunin as a businessman in Brussels. Hunin was recorded as an accountant in Brussels - Schaerbeek in January 1896 and then manager of the "Comptoir International de Photographie" from 1907 until 1914. Hunin took ship for Rio de Janeiro [BRA] in 1920, on his appointment as representative of the Gevaert company there, at which point the partnership was undoubtedly dissolved. Wauters was subsequently recorded as trading alone at this address while Hunin pursued his activities in photographic supplies in Rio de Janeiro throughout the 1920s.
