Alexandre Werder (° Hornu, 31.10.1849) and his son Oswald (see that name). He claimed to have received a "Medal at the Paris Exhibition in 1878", but the CVs state "Studio founded in 1886". Werder senior was recorded as a watchmaker domiciled in La Louvière at the occasion of his wedding in La Louvière on 22.5.1872 and again as a watchmaker at the occasion of his son's wedding in 1893.
