These were probably sons of Karel Willaert (° Gits, 1.6.1826) who was a brother of Célestin Willaert (see that name) and had been living at this address for at least two decades. The most likely candidates are Arthur (° Ghent, 4.3.1875; + Ghent, 22.9.1952) and Raphaël Robert (° Ghent, 22.11.1878; + Ghent, 13.1.1949). Like many of their family members they would go on to pursue a career as painters under the respective pseudonyms "Arthur Trealliw" and "Raph Robert". In 1922 they co-founded the "Fédération Nationale des Artistes-Peintres et Sculpteurs de Belgique" / "Nationaal Verbond van Kunstschilders en Beeldhouwers van België". Another candidate behind the initial "R." is their brother Remi (° Ghent, 9.4.1864; + Ghent, 23.5.1934) who was also active as an artist-painter around this time.
