Petrus Franciscus / Pierre François, ° 30.3.1813; + 11.5.1880. Sometimes transcribed Wauters. Husband of Paulina Anna De Cauter (° Ghent, 28.1.1820; + Ghent, 25.1.1883). On his death certificate, Wouters was described as a shopkeeper and his wife as having no profession. CV at no. 69, "Carbon photography, permanent", c. 1880 bearing the credit "V. Wouters". The "V." stands for either Victor or Veuve. "Wouters - De Cauter Veuve" in the directories of 1882-1883, which indicates that Pierre's widow continued the business until her death. In any case, the business was eventually passed on to their son Victor.
