1873 * - 1906 Anvers, Marché aux Souliers, 37
Predecessor: Tessaro François
Dealers in "photographs, old and modern prints, works of art", according to ink stamp on mounts. Firm founded on 1.11.1873 for a duration of 15 years by Jean Baptiste Granello, known as Granello - Zazzarini (° Pieve Tessino [IT], December 1832; + Antwerp, 14.1.1906) and Emile Henri François Van Cuyck (° Antwerp, 12.8.1841; + Brussels, 1919) for the "acquisition and exploitation of the print and art dealership belonging to Mr François Tessaro". Both partners had been active in the business: Emile Van Cuyck was Tessaro's son-in-law while Granello - Zazzarini was a cousin. He had come to Antwerp in July 1846 as an apprentice with Tessaro and was subsequently recorded as a clerk in the business and then a print dealer there. The firm sold views by Léon & Lévy of Paris and Römmler & Jonas of Dresden. Also operated as a dépôt for supplies from Eugène Tessaro in Brussels (see that name). After Granello - Zazzarini's death, the "Cabinet d'estampes Zazzarini" was acquired by a certain Van Overloop and transferred to Avenue Britannique. The building in Marché aux Souliers was destroyed in a German bombardment on 7-8.10.1914.
