Antoon / Antoine, ° 1.2.1877. Sometimes transcribed "Zimmerman". Arrived in Antwerp on 1.6.1895 when he was registered as a photographer. Moved to this address on 1.11.1909. Conscripted into the German army at the start of World War I, he left the studio in the hands of his wife Joanna Catharina Benoy (° Antwerp, 20.7.1874). She ran it throughout the war and moved to Antwerp - Borgerhout in 1920. Zimmerman survived the war and settled back in Antwerp - Borgerhout as a photographer in January 1923.
