First pupil, then assistant in the Engineering Corps in 1894. Enthousiastic member of the Namur section of the ABP (talks, articles). Landscapes and lively scenes. The "Bulletin de l'ABP" published several of his articles: "Stripping negatives", 1898; "On viewfinders used in photography", 1899; "Gelatine-bromide and collodion", 1900; "On the influence of aperture on the sharpness of photographic images", 1902.

Transferred to the Antwerp section of the ABP.
